·         The internet is made up of millions upon millions of small computer networks all brought together to form the vast "Inter-Network". That word never caught on, so it was shortened to the much easier-to-say "Internet".

 

Real World Example

 

one day people could only use the phone could communicate now they can use the internet to talk and they used to just use books for research and now they can search on Google, YouTube etc  


Personal Opinion

 

The internet is really good for gaming, blogging, chat sights e.g. Facebook, twitter. it is also good for school work and to look up things on Google for research.

 

        Social Effects

 

 Definition 

The effect of an activity on the social fabric of the community  and well-being of the individuals  and families.

 

Real World Example

 Internet Marketing Company - Business to Business (B2B)
Social Networking and Group Participation / Development on LinkedIn

Consumer Fashion Brand - Major Women’s Fashion Brand
Social Networking – Facebook, Twitter and more “profile” type sites.

    The computer misuse act is very important for the safety of our online interactions. A lot of people would suffer if it wasn't in place.

Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time.

     i think if we didn't have the copyright patent act people would just take infomation from anyone and there would be nothing new to read or research about.

The Data Protection Act 1998 is a united kingdom act of parliament which defines UK law on the processing of data on identifiable living people.

     i think if we didn't have this every thing would be taken and it wouldnt be safe to put your data on the internet
